FIC.A – International Science Festival 2022 will take place between the 10th and 16th of October (1 day more than in 2021), in a new space, the Hub-ACT, future art, science & technology hub and center of creative industries incubation in Porto Salvo. A unique program on the national scene that offers opportunities for all ages.

The festival will bring together more than 100 academic, scientific, technological, diplomatic, governmental, and non-governmental organisations in its first year under the high patronage of the Presidency of the Republic.

The schedule already comprises over 700 activities and more than 100 speakers from more than 25 countries. These activities include discussions, keynote speeches, exhibitions, shows, concerts, seminars, and masterclasses, among other formats.

The National Congress Scientists in Action, which is organized by the Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz, aims to increase interaction, knowledge sharing, and experience sharing among students, teachers, and scientists while promoting the presentation of ideas and the observation of others as part of the dissemination and communication of scientific and technological culture.

Through the execution of small scientific projects with a national scale, experimental instruction is prioritized in order to foster young people’s scientific spirit. The finest works by educational levels (first, second, third cycles, and secondary education) will also get various forms of support.

The emphasis on scientific communication is a result of the collaboration between students and teachers in the classroom. This speech is given and defended in the setting of a Congress in front of peers, researchers, scientists, and members of the jury, in panels and by level of education, much like a real Scientific Congress.
